Here we have one of the Ultimate 80’s Muscle cars, The Buick Grand National. We have done Alllot of work to this one and saved it from being a parts car. When we got the car a tree had fallen on it and complelty crushed the roof and damaged the rest of the body. After getting a good roof from another car we straighted out the quarters and the Windshield pillars and layed the new roof on. With most of the hard work out of the way, we had the whole body sand blasted for a clean slate and focused on the rest of the body. A common problem with these “G body” Gm platforms is rust in the lower doors, Our car was no exception and we located a clean set of doors to start with. After working our magic on the doors we bolted them up and took to the rest of the body. Besdies the doors The body was otherwise clean of rust, so we then knocked out all the little dings and dents and covered the body with several coats of High-Build Primer and blocked down the body countless times for a smooth finish for the soon to be Deep black paint. With the outside of the body about complete we turned out attention to the underside of the car, Cleaning, Degreasing years of grit and grime, and Giving it a Fresh coat of black paint to seal up and protect the metal before it gets final undercoating after painting. With all the undercover work done, we now are focusing on the engine and engine bay. With a soon to be beautiful outside, we couldnt let whats under the hood let us down, so we will be going over the engine and the engine bay with with a ton of detal and attention.
