Woodbury Days first welcomed guests in 1978. 25,000-30,000 people will attend the three day event (the car show is only one of these days – there’s plenty for the whole family to do)

Unfinished?

Lew’s brother (yes, his real brother) Al runs Big Al’s Toybox, which sells custom and hot rod engines. Al also puts on an Unfinished Hot Rod Show annually, where you can see cars in progress. This is great for all you auto enthusiasts out there that are into restoration. Get great tips and tricks!

Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs & Grille

Famous Uncle Al’s Hot Dogs & Grille

With a car cruise night every Friday, it’s one of our local hangouts that we love. Starts at 5:30 pm and goes to whenever. Pretty famous, too.

Marcus Dairy

Will it or won’t it happen at Marcus Dairy?

Marcus Dairy - cruisin with motorcycles and hot rods.Whether or not there is an ‘official’ car show every year on the premises, motorcycles and cars from hundreds of miles around come to celebrate this local dairy business.

The story goes back a ways. They started in 1913, when it was a bit more rural around Danbury at the time. The restaurant was setup later after the milk processing plant was built. Jack and Pearl ran the dairy and restaurant.

Early in the ’60’s, it started to become the popular riding destination. It’s still thumping today. And, being only about 66 miles away from Manhattan, it’s a worthy drive out of the city.

Sycamore Drive-In

A genuine car-hop service!

We love drive ins….

The Sycamore Drive-In is a genuine drive in with car-hop service (just blink your lights) and window trays for in-car dining. Specialty of the house is a Dagwood burger, which is a patty of griddle-crisped beef topped with cheese and nearly every garnish known to mankind. Sycamore’s root beer, served in frosted mugs, is homemade.

Summer Saturdays from 6-9 p.m. are Cruise Nights at Bethel, Connecticut’s Sycamore Drive-In, with classic cars, a DJ, giveaways, and of course, the Sycamore’s famous French Style Steakburgers and homemade Old-Fashioned Root Beer.
